In fairness to some of the stuff out on this thread, we did blatantly need a right back over the summer (if we'd got one I reckon we may have progressed in the Europa league) and never got the striker we were promised
Additionally I don't think anyone predicted tore would be quite so abysmal, that payet would miss so many games at the start or that the entire team would just forget how to do their job. We had good reason for positivity after the summer it's just a shame that almost all our signings were so wide of the mark in the end

as for loads of people talkking absolute scutter, the thread is barely three pages long before the twat topped it. it's not as if it's a memorable thread with hundreds of posts, and many posts are disagreeing with the OP anyway.

I'm afraid I see very little to get enthused about for the rest of the season. We have a team that's turned to shit and we have fixtures coming up soon that will keep us in the bottom three for some considerable time.
Then again I am a glass half empty kind of guy,so I may be proved wrong.

You can dig up these threads and laugh, but its football and let’s face it things change rapidly and even the in the know experts, top managers and pundits get it very wrong on a regular basis, anyone who said Leicester could win the PL would have been labelled a no nothing idiot!
Had we got off to a flyer I doubt anyone would dig this up, happened a few times, not sure who the jokes on those who gave there opinion………or the twat that dug it up?

Then there is Spurs and both Scousers, top six would be decent unless we sign a top striker or two then we might do a Leicester!

In my opinion you just have to enjoy the wins when they happen.
Anything above seventh is extremely difficult with the quality of sides in our league and the cups are such a lottery.
Being in the Europa group stages will be fantastic with foreign trips and regular mid week football.

Question/opinion.
What is harder top 4 or Europa League win?
We have added lot of decent European experience in the squad (as well as the manager) and in theory a lot of those teams are not as good as the top 5/6 in the Premier League.

I'm not convinced by that yet, after only one unusual season (and it wasn't that unusual - Man Utd, Man City and Arsenal were 3 of the top 5). I think there's a strong likelihood the 'big 4' go back to claiming the top 4 positions again this year.
